O'Neill arrived on campus at Princeton on September 20, 1906, and left the following June. Seven years later, he stated: "I succeeded in paying so little attention to the laws regarding attendance, etc. that I was 'flunked out' at the end of Freshman year for over-cutting" The 1907 Princeton Bric-a-Brac, the school yearbook, lists "Eugene G. O'Neill" as a member of the Freshman Class of 1910, living at "30 Univ Hall." It also lists "O'Neill, E. G., '10" in its Directory, with a permanent address of "Lucerne Hotel, New York City." |
