Dear Dick:

I have just written to Ashley Dukes, in answer to an inquiry of his, that the London Stage Society may go ahead with their plans for the production of "The Great God Brown".  There is no use waiting any longer on Dean.  Will you let Bright know of this decision?

As for the contracts for "All God's Chillun", I can't seem to lay hands on them.  Agnes must have tucked them away someplace.  We can't really unpack yet for we're still living in trunks waiting for our villa to get ready.

Thank you very much for your efforts on behalf of getting our furniture off!  It was very considerate of you.

"Beyond" certainly got a fine critical reception.  As for business, once it settles down in a smaller theatre, I think, as does Kenneth, that it will be able to hold on.  But I still believe they should have carried out my idea of a two dollar top and they'd be pulling a big crowd at the Mansfield.  Why don't you suggest this to Kline?

Hasn't Rumsey got any news from the Coart on the Hairy Ape-Jamingo matter or from Metro on the Desire treatment?

All best!

Gene.
