Eugene O'Neill: A Critical Study
Winther, Sophus Keith |
An excellent study of O'Neill's dominant ideas in relation to the modern industrial age, written when he was still considered a practicing playwright. Highly favorable without eulogy. The whole O'Neill canon is considered as a unit, and discussed in terms of moral and social philosophy. It bears comparison with Skinner's Poet's Quest and contrast with Geddes' Melodramadness.—Miller |
